The 30A corridor along Florida's Emerald Coast is one of the most beautiful locations for family photography. With its sugar-white sand, turquoise waters, and charming coastal architecture, it provides a stunning backdrop for portraits that feel like a vacation memory come to life.
Best Locations Along 30A
From the iconic dune lakes of Grayton Beach to the pastel-colored cottages of Seaside, each community along 30A offers its own unique character. Rosemary Beach provides elegant European-inspired architecture, while Alys Beach offers striking white walls and courtyards.

When to Visit
The best months for 30A family sessions are March through May and September through November. The light is gorgeous, the beaches are less crowded, and the temperatures are comfortable for everyone, including little ones.
What to Wear at the Beach
For beach sessions, I recommend light, flowing fabrics in neutral and earth tones. Creams, tans, soft blues, and sage greens complement the natural palette of the coast beautifully. Avoid stark white, which can be too bright against the sand.
Preparing Your Little Ones
Beach sessions with children work best when everyone is well-rested and fed. I always recommend scheduling around nap times and bringing snacks. The most beautiful moments often happen when children are simply being themselves — exploring shells, splashing in the waves, or running along the shore.
Combining Vacation and Portraits
Many of my families plan their 30A sessions as part of a family vacation. This means everyone is relaxed, happy, and already in vacation mode — which translates to the most natural, joyful photographs.
